Faq's

  • Log onto the Single Window platform using investor credentials.
  • Complete and submit the application for an advertising license (annual/temporary).

Fees are calculated based on the number, size and type of advertisement as per the following rules:
● Annual advert: A QAR 200 fee per square meter of the board area multiplied by the number of boards is applicable. If the advert is on a vehicle, the same fee is applicable for each side. In case of electronic screens, a fee of QAR 300 per square meter is applicable.

● Temporary advertisement: QAR 20 per square meter within Doha and QAR 10 per square meter outside the Doha city limits. 
● A QAR 400 fee is applicable for each car that is placed in a raffle draw. 

Fees must be paid upon receiving a notification from authorities. This can be done online, bank transfer, bank deposit or by visiting any of the Single Window service centers.

  • Obligation for maintenance and removal of signage
  • Photo of the advertisement and a letter from the applicant
  • Copy of the contract for the project 
  • Copy of the vehicle ownership in case of a vehicle license
  • In case of temporary adverts, the investor shall attach the promotional permit issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry as well as a no objection letter from the owner of the property on which the advert is being placed (only applies if the property is not owned by the applicant)
  • Copy of the property owner’s identification card (if the applicant does not own the property) 
  • In case of annual adverts, information on the area number shall be added to the advertising board of buildings on which the adverts are to be placed.

There are two types of advertising licenses:

  • Annual Advertising License: It is valid for one year from the date of issue. This license allows for additional advertising such as stickers, displays, stands and vehicle advertisement posters.
  • Temporary Advertising License: This is particularly relates to short-term events and is valid from between a day and three months. These include discounts and special offers, decorations, banners and gas-filled structures. This license can be issued on a date prior to the commencement of the event and is valid up to three months.

If the advertisement is temporary:

Attach a book of licensing offers or downloads from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
Attach a no objection letter from the landlord by placing the advert.
Attach a copy of the ID card if the property is not owned by the applicant.

If the advertisement is annual:

Attach a copy of vehicle ownership to a vehicle declaration license.
Add the area number data on the building's billboards under construction. 

  • The language used should be in Arabic only or in both Arabic and English in black with a white background.
  • The license may be issued on a date prior to the commencement of the occasion. The commercial registration, commercial license and the company identification card must be valid.
  • Companies are not permitted to place advertisement on their vehicles on behalf of other companies.
