A partner cannot be added to a branch of a foreign company which has a contract with the government.

The application submitted to open a branch of a foreign company must be translated into Arabic by an accredited office.

A licensing fee of QR5,000 applies in addition to fees specified by Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Qatar.

  • Fill out the relevant application, signed and sealed with no objection from the government entity or its affiliated agencies.
  • Attach the following documents:
    • Commercial register of the foreign company and its memorandum of association (if applicable).
    • A letter from the company’s head office requesting the opening of a branch in Qatar and appointing an authorized signatory.
    • Copy of director’s proof of identity.
    • A certified procuration by the foreign company to its duly authorized legal representative.
  • Documents issued outside Qatar must be duly certified.

  • Letter to the Companies Control Department to amend contract number.
  • Copy of director’s proof of identity.
  • Filling out the application form.
  • Letter from the government entity addressed to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to change contract number.

  • Fill out the relevant application, signed and sealed with no objection from the government entity or its affiliated agencies.
    • Copy of the ministerial decision to grant the company a license.
    • Copy of the authorized signatory’s proof of identity.
  • Documents issued outside Qatar must be duly certified.

  • Fill out the relevant application, signed and approved with no objection from a government entity or its affiliated agencies.
  • Attach the following documents:
    • Commercial register of the foreign company and its memorandum of association (if applicable).
    • Copy of commercial register of the contractor and the licensing decision.
    • Copy of the authorized signatory’s proof of identity.
    • Procuration by the foreign company to its authorized legal representative.
    • Letter from the company’s head office requesting the opening of a branch in Qatar and appointing an authorized signatory.
  • Documents issued outside Qatar must be duly certified.

  • Fill out the relevant application, signed and approved with no objection from a government entity or its affiliated agencies.
  • Attach the following documents:
    • Copy of Qatari commercial register and licensing decision.
    • Copy of commercial register of main contractor and licensing decision.
    • Copy of director’s proof of identity.
    • Procuration by the foreign company to its authorized legal representative.
  • Documents issued outside Qatar must be duly certified.

  • Fill out the required form to be signed and approved amid no objections by a government agency or its affiliated agencies.
  • A copy of the director’s proof of identity.
  • A copy of the company’s main commercial register.
  • Fill in the commercial registration form.
  • Documents issued outside Qatar must be duly certified.

Branches of foreign companies can carry out activities only stipulated in the contract with the government agency and are not entitled to practice any other activity.
