Commitments and Obligations of Auditors

1-    Please adhere to the licensed name provided by Ministry of Commerce and Industry and match it with the address, publications, and paperwork of the office in accordance with Article (28) of Law No. (8) of 2020.


2-    The auditor must notify the Corporate Affairs Department when he ceases to practice the profession for any reason, temporarily or permanently, within thirty days from the date of cessation.


3-    The auditor must notify the Corporate Affairs Department of any change on the address within thirty days.
 


4-    According to Article No. (30) of Law No. (8) of 2020, the auditor is obligated to notify the competent department of the following on an annual basis:

    1.    Names and qualifications of those hired to perform the auditing and review tasks.
    2.    A list of the names of the clients whose accounts are being audited and reviewed.


5-    Accounting offices and companies that practice the profession of auditing must use one or all of these activities only:

    1.    Auditors or reviewers.
    2.     Financial advisory of auditors.
    3.    Economical advisory of auditors.
    4.    Tax advisory of auditors.


6-    The auditor shall abide by the conduct, etiquette and traditions of the profession, and the standards of auditing and accounting approved by the     state. They must also comply with the governance controls, standards of institutional discipline and other duties specified under the applicable laws and regulations.


7-    The auditor must associate his name with his registration number in all correspondences, certificates, budgets and reports that he signs, and he must also place the registration certificate in a prominent place in his office.


8-    The auditors must sign the auditing and review reports issued by his office themselves if they are natural persons, but if they are legal persons, such reports must be signed by one of the partners or managers registered in the auditors’ register of natural persons. In all cases, no other person may be delegated to sign.
